GT makes good impression on UCF commit Morales during OV

Kymani Morales, a 2026 linebacker and UCF commit, impressed during his official visit to Georgia Tech this weekend, fostering interest for potential shifts in recruitment. If he decides to decommit from UCF, Georgia Tech could become a strong contender, making them an appealing option for punters interested in betting on future recruiting outcomes.

Kymani Morales, a 2026 linebacker and current UCF commit, made the trip from Atlanta this weekend to visit Georgia Tech.

During his time on campus, Morales expressed that he was impressed by the bond and connection he observed among the team. "I loved the visit. How everyone had a bond and connected was special to me," he said.

Morales, who has around 15 reported offers including Power-4 schools such as Georgia Tech, Arkansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, Purdue, UCLA, and Wake Forest, has been committed to UCF since March. After visiting UCF in late May, he wanted to explore a few other options, leading him to visit South Florida and Georgia Tech recently.

While at Georgia Tech, Morales had a valuable conversation with head coach Brent Key, focusing on life and character rather than just football. "It was a great conversation. He is heavy on respect and character, and I love that in a coach," Morales noted. He appreciated Key's emphasis on respect within the program, particularly regarding how players and staff treat women.

Morales indicated that he remains committed to UCF but is open to divine guidance in his decision-making: "I'm letting God guide me through this path. He has every answer. I have much faith that I'll be in the best situation leaving it up to him."

Looking ahead, Morales has an official visit planned at Wake Forest for the upcoming weekend but is uncertain about it as he intends to focus on returning to his high school team and addressing missed practice time due to his recent trips.

Currently, Georgia Tech has one other linebacker committed in the 2026 class, 3-star CJ Gamble from Carrollton High (Ga.).
