Wolves Complete £15m Jhon Arias Deal

With Jhon Arias joining Wolverhampton Wanderers, punters might consider betting on Wolves to finish in the upper half of the Premier League this season given their strengthened attacking options and Arias' impressive record.

Vitor Pereira has completed his second Wolverhampton Wanderers signing of the summer after Jhon Arias penned a five-year contract.

Wolves have captured the 27-year-old on a deal in the region of £15m as the Colombian becomes the second summer signing through the door at Molineux following Fernando Lopez’s arrival from Celta Vigo.

Arias arrives from Brazilian side Fluminese on an initial four-year deal with the option of a further season following an impressive showing at the Club World Cup.

He will see friendly faces upon his arrival in the Black Country - midfielder Andre was a former team-mate in South America and Yerson Mosquera is an international colleague.

Arias will arrive in the Premier League with an impressive body of recent work behind him at Fluminese.

He won the Copa Libertadores playing alongside Andre and was named in the team of the tournament.

In total, he played 229 times for Fluminese and impressed again during this summer’s tournament in the United States.

He also picked up a spot in the competition’s team of the tournament following impressive showings against Borussia Dortmund, Ulsan, and Inter Milan.
