Manchester United is exploring alternatives in its pursuit of a right-winger as they have made contact to sign Southampton's talented starlet Tyler Dibling. With Southampton valuing Dibling at around €65 million (£56 million), punters should consider betting on Manchester United moving to finalize a transfer, especially following concerns regarding their pursuit of Bryan Mbeumo, whose deal appears to be stalling.
Manchester United could look to a 'Plan B' in their pursuit of a right-winger this summer, according to reports - with the Red Devils having made contact to sign the highly-sought-after Southampton starlet Tyler Dibling.
Dibling, a Saints academy graduate, played just one game for the club in their Championship promotion campaign as they returned to the top-flight at the first time of asking under Russell Martin. However, it was last season in the Premier League where he earned the full trust of both Martin and his succeeding replacement Ivan Juric, featuring 33 times in the top-flight with two goals and some impressive displays to his name.
Report: Man Utd 'Make Contact' for Tyler Dibling
A daring dribbler with strong agility and a carefree nature to take on the world's best defenders, Dibling's performances have seen big clubs take an interest in his talents, with Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur also being in the race for his signature.
And the report by Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg states that although Southampton have not received any 'concrete offers' for Dibling just yet, United have enquired about his services as they plan for the coming two months of the transfer window. He wrote on X (formerly Twitter): The Red Devils are keen on securing the signing of the 'special' 19-year-old, with Southampton asking for a fee as high as €65million (£56million) to let their teenage sensation - who 'half of Europe wants' - depart St. Mary's.
And that could be a more permissible move, with a deal taking their supposed top target and Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo to Old Trafford seemingly stalling after a medical was 'booked' for last week, with the winger becoming reportedly concerned with the lack of movement after United's second bid was turned down.
Statistics courtesy of WhoScored. Correct as of 08-07-25. Manchester United may have to shift to plan B in their bid to sign a right-winger - and they've made contact to sign an alternative to Bryan Mbeumo.
